Sending your sold item to its buyer safely and on time is an important part of any successful sale.
It’s important to choose the correct postage options so that a buyer knows how and when they will receive the item if they decide to buy it, and so that you’re not left out of pocket when it comes to posting the item.
Use tracked services for peace of mind
When you use tracked services, you’ll be able to see if your item has been delivered or not, as well as being able to provide your buyer with proof of postage and protecting you in case of item not received claims. Tracking is included if you use eBay delivery - Packlink, plus you can take advantage of very competitive rates which can be cheaper than some carriers' non-tracked services.
Quick listing tool delivery options

When you select delivery options for your listing, we'll show you recommended services based on your item's weight, the cost of postage and how long it will take to deliver the item. You can either choose this or select your own.
You can also specify whether you'd like to offer collection in person only for items you don't want to send.
Advanced listing tool delivery options

Use the delivery details part of the listing form to use our full range of postage features, including additional postage options, postage rate tables, combined postage discounts and flat postage rules.

Free postage
Offering free postage is a great way to attract potential buyers looking to grab a bargain. Just bear in mind that you will still need to pay your postage provider for the service.
Free postage can be an effective strategy in particularly competitive categories, such as video games or fashion, where you’re competing against lots of similar items. Just make sure you’re not leaving yourself out of pocket by absorbing high postage costs for low value items.
When listing, select Offer free postage to offer free postage. When your listing is live, potential buyers will see that postage is free
Local collection
For large items that it’s not feasible to post, select Offer local collection only and the buyer will need to collect the item in person.
International postage
There’s no need to feel daunted by the idea of posting something you’ve sold overseas. With the Global Shipping Programme (GSP) you post your item to the UK depot. We’ll make sure it gets to your buyer, plus we’ll take care of customs clearance, tracking and all the rest.
