Buying and printing on eBay with Royal Mail

You can buy and print Royal Mail labels via the eBay platform.

To print your Royal Mail postage label, go to My eBay > Sold items, and select Print postage label next to the sold item you want to send. This will take you to the eBay delivery page where you can select the Royal Mail services

You'll need to select the correct size and weight for your parcel, and then drop your item at your local Post Office for delivery.

For Royal Mail services, enter the weight of your item, including any packaging, and select the relevant package size and desired service level to get the right postage for your label. Again, the label offered should default to the one you selected at the listing stage. If you selected Royal Mail 2nd class parcel under 1kg, this should show as your default shipping option.

For Royal Mail services, you can change the postage details before you buy and print the label, so be sure to select the right service for your item including speed, weight and package size so that it arrives safely with your buyer with no additional charges.

Printing your eBay postage label

When you’ve paid for your postage you’ll be prompted to print your label, which you can do from your laptop or desktop PC directly to any printer.

Attach it to your parcel using clear sticky tape, ensuring the address and bar codes are clear so they can be scanned by the courier. Once your label is fixed firmly and clearly to the front of your package, it’s time to send it to its new owner.

You can print or reprint a label by going to label reprint: My eBay > Selling > Sold items > [the item you’re printing a label for] > Reprint label
