Buyer groups

Buyer groups let you send coded coupons to specific groups of buyers.

With coded coupons, shop subscribers can offer discounts to buyers by printing, sharing and sending coupons - both on eBay and using your own marketing channels.

You can create buyer groups to send coupons to groups of your buyers who, for example, bought from you in the past month, the past year, from a specific category, or from all of your categories.

Buyer groups are the perfect way to share your coded coupons. You can use them to:

• Share your coded coupons with a buyer group who’ve previously purchased from you. It’s a great way to reward your buyers and encourage repeat purchases.
• Create a discount offer without discounting the price for everyone who sees your items with a private coupon. You can then send it to specific buyer groups tailored to your marketing needs.
• Identify category-specific buyer groups to promote your seasonal inventory when it has the most potential to sell.
• Send your coded coupons both as an email and on mobile: your buyers will receive both an email and a mobile app notification.
• Control your budget when offering discounts. You can protect your margins with options like minimum spend, expiry date and budget.

You can send coded coupons to specific buyer groups by going to the Seller Hub Marketing tab and accessing the new Buyer groups section.

1. Create a buyer group to define a custom group of buyers to whom you want to send your coupons.
2. Select a coded coupon campaign or set a new campaign.
3. Eligible buyers in your groups will then receive your coupon codes.

You can also customise your message each time you send a code to a specific buyer group.

Please be aware that the same buyer can’t receive more than one coupon from you in any 14-day period. So, make sure you select the most relevant buyers group to receive your codes.
