Sending your sold item to its buyer safely and on time is an important part of any successful sale.
It’s important to choose the correct postage options so that a buyer knows how and when they will receive the item if they decide to buy it, and so that you’re not left out of pocket when it comes to posting the item.
When listing an item you can can choose your postage options in the How you’ll post it section.

If you choose Select postage for me we provide postage recommendations based on how other sellers have posted items similar to yours.
Select postage myself
If you’d rather not go with our recommended postage option, or if there is no recommended postage option for your item, you can choose your own postage method.
In the drop-down box you’ll find a list of postage methods offered by major providers. Simply select the one you wish to use and how much you intend to charge for it - this is what the buyer will have to pay on top of the purchase price of the item.

Postal carriers and contacts
Offering free postage is a great way to attract potential buyers looking to grab a bargain. Just bear in mind that you will still need to pay your postage provider for the service.
Free postage can be an effective strategy in particularly competitive categories, such as video games or fashion, where you’re competing against lots of similar items. Just make sure you’re not leaving yourself out of pocket by absorbing high postage costs for low value items.
When listing, select Offer free P&P to offer free postage. When your listing is live, potential buyers will see that postage is free
For large items that it’s not feasible to post, select Offer local collection only and the buyer will need to collect the item in person.
eBay drop-off is a convenient way to send your sold items. You box up what you’ve sold and take it to your local Argos store, pay for postage there and then, and they’ll get the item to the buyer in 1-2 working days.
When listing, select the relevant pricing option based on the size and weight of your item, as shown. Select See Participating Stores to find an Argos store that’s convenient for you. But don’t worry - you can take the item to any participating Argos branch if you need to.
There’s no need to feel daunted by the idea of posting something you’ve sold overseas. With the Global Shipping Programme (GSP) you post your item to the UK depot. We’ll make sure it gets to your buyer, plus we’ll take care of customs clearance, tracking and all the rest.
