Fees for business sellers

As a business seller, your fees are based on what you sell, how you set up your listings and whether you subscribe to a Shop. Our fees calculator helps you figure out about how much you'll pay. If your buyer pays with PayPal, you'll have to pay extra PayPal fees.

All displayed fees exclude VAT. Fees are a little different for Motors and Classified Ads.  If you haven't yet, you can register as a business seller now. 

All business sellers who are based in the UK will be invoiced excluding VAT (net pricing). 

Insertion fees and Shop subscriptions

We offer 3 Shop subscriptions to make selling easier and more cost efficient for your business. 

Based on how many monthly listings you create, you can get an idea of which subscription is right for you. Our fee illustrator can also help you decide. You can change your subscription each month.

NOTE: You may be subject to selling limits if, for example, you've fallen below standard or you're a new seller.

Optional listing upgrades and final value fees

When your item sells, you pay a final value fee based on the total transaction value with postage per item. This is regardless of your Shop level and how much you pay depends on the category.

Fee discounts

Fee discounts for eBay Top-rated sellers

As an eBay Top-rated seller, your listings that meet our eBay Premium Service guidelines receive a 10% final value fee discount. You can check if you qualify in your seller dashboard.

Fee discounts when you sell for charity

By listing with eBay for Charity, you can donate up to 100% of your item's final sale price to a registered charity. We'll credit a percentage of your selling fees (excluding fees for optional listing upgrades) back to you, depending on your donation amount.

Offering international postage on your UK listings

You pay UK insertion and final value fees.

Listing directly on our international sites

If your item sells, you'll pay the final value fees that apply to the site where you're listing. Your insertion fees depend on your Shop subscription level: 

  • Basic or no Shop subscription: You’ll pay local insertion fees for the site on which you’re selling.
  • Featured or Anchor Shop subscription: You’ll pay the discounted insertion fees for your equivalent Shop subscription level in that country. In many cases, this means zero insertion fees. 
You may want to check with your bank or payment service to find out if they charge an extra fee for accepting international payments.

Fees for ending an auction early

If you end an auction early and buyers have already placed bids, you may be charged a fee. This fee is the same as a final value fee, based on the item price when you ended the auction. You won't pay a fee if you cancel your auction within the first 24 hours of listing your item, or if we have to end your auction.
