eBay Top-rated Sellers are the gold standard of consistent, great customer service in our marketplace. In return, they get access to exclusive benefits, such as higher ranking in search results and eligibility for discounts on final value fees.

As an eBay Top-rated Seller your listings get better placement in search results. You also get the option to add the eBay Premium Service badge to your listing for additional benefits:
  • Maximum visibility in search results.
  • The eBay Premium Service badge on the listing and in search results.
  • 10% discount on final value fees on eBay.co.uk or eBay.ie.

How to become an eBay Top-rated Seller

You don’t need to register for anything and there’s nothing extra to pay - all you need to do is provide an excellent customer experience over a period of time. Here’s how we break that down:

If you’d like to add the eBay Premium Service badge to a listing, that listing needs to meet some additional requirements:
  • A 30-day returns option or better.
  • 1-day or same-day dispatch.
  • An express delivery option – offering delivery within 1 day.
  • A free domestic delivery option.

Note that there are some exceptions to these requirements. 

Take a look at your seller standards dashboard to see your current seller level and what you can improve on to become an eBay Top-rated Seller. All of these metrics are calculated over the past 12 calendar months, unless you’ve sold more than 400 items in the past 3 months, in which case the metrics will be calculated for that 3-month period.

Become an eBay Top-rated Seller in other countries

If you sell on other countries’ eBay sites, you can become an eBay Top-rated Seller based on your transactions with buyers in those countries. If you qualify for the US, German, or global programme(s), you'll receive promotion in search and the eBay Top-rated Seller badge on those sites.
